    Meridian produced brilliant results in the Grade X, CBSE Board Examination, 2008-’09.

    Out of the 95 students who had appeared for the Boards,98% students secured first classes with distinction and 64% with distinction.

    The topper of the batch is Miss M. Sai Raghav with an aggregate 95%.

    Second topper is Sayema Sadiq Subhan with an aggregate 94.8%.

    • Sai Raghav of Std.X won the Bala Ratna Award Gold Medal given by Howard Public School.
    • Vimala Jampala won 100% scholarship to study for 4yrs in Raffles Institure, Singapore.
    • Varun Kumar Patro Class IXC Awarded A* STAR India Youth Scholarship by Ministry of Education, to study on full fee waver for 4 yrs in Singapore.
    • Rohit Reddy and T.V. Harsha won 75% scholarship to study for 2yrs in the United World College(Pune).
    • Sushmita Murthy one of the two students chosen from all Hyderabad in 'CATCH THEM YOUNG' programme, to work on a live project for 2 weeks at the Infosys campus.
    • Sushmita Murthy, a scintillating dancer, did it again. She won the 1st Place in classical dance in all India competition conducted by Akhila Bharatiya Samskritik Sanga in Pune
    • Arun and Varun Patro won 2 weeks full scholarship given by Duke's Talent Identification Programme, to undergo special training at I.I.M. Ahehmadabad
    • Prerna P., a class 4 student, winner of LG Talent hunt, spent 15 days in England with the Indian cricket team.
    • Trip to NASA - Mr.Srinivas, our social science teacher and 5 students, Pawan Prejwal Dande, Pragathi B., Srujan Sridhar, Depti B. and Shahbaaz Shaik, spent 10 days in the U.S.A visting the space centre.
    • At Howard Public School Proficiency competitions Atul Shreyas and A.Akhila Reddy won the 1st and 3rd prize respectively for English Debate, Sadya S. and Manisha J.Won 2nd and 3rd prize respectively for flower arrangement and the senior singing team comprising Sushmita A.M., Praneel Chandra and Gauri Athisahara won the 3rd prize.

    • G.Nitin of class 5C won the under 10yrs. Category Lawn Tennis Championship conducted by Ranga Reddy District Lawn Tennis Association.
    • Sri Hari Raju of class 6F place won the 3rd place in interschool essay competition conducted by Association of Rural Development.
    • Praneet of class 6A was declared 2nd runner up among 2000 participants in SIP Abacus competition.
    • In Global Art competion 'Wonderful World of Animals', conducted at Imax theatre, Anushree Bang of 5D secured the Best of the Best prize in the regional round. She was also awarded by SIP Academy the Best of the Best prize in Group 'C' of Kolorchamp '09 held at Chennai.
    • In Interschool Art Competition, 'Darpan', in which 12 schools of Ujwala cluster participated:

      • Vamsi Krishna secured the 1st place in glass painting.

      Varun Vivek secured 2nd place in Digital Art.

      Aparajita secured 1st place for Best Out of Waste.

    • In Holicks Wiz Kids competition:

      • Sharada Balaji won the 1st prize in English Story Writing while Bipasha Barua won the 2nd place.

      Asha A and Arun Patro won the 1st place in 'WHAT'S THE GOOD WORD'.

    • Insha Amin Ladha of class VE awarded excellent achievement medal by Euphoria of Regional Education Board of Southern India.
    • Keshav Bang of III A was declared 2nd runner up in the 9th International Abacus and Mental Arithmetic competition held at Chennai in which 10 countries took part.
    • In Times of India NIE ‘FunFest ‘09’ Meridian has come out with flying colours. The Rock Band comprising Arundhati, Vidya, Aravind, Sunder, and Ruchika all from class 8,won the 1st place.
    • Chandan, class 8, got 2nd place in Abstract Painting.
    • The Mock Ads group, again a class 8 team comprising Aravind, Sunder, Akhila, Anjani and Ravitej won the 3rd place.
    • C. Sankarshan VII B anchored Deepapprajwalana programme in the 16th InternationalFilm Festival on Children’s Day and participated in Andhra Pradesh Cultural Affairs programme. He was also awarded ‘Bala Ratna’ and the Best All Rounder by Abhinandana during Ugadi Balala Puraskaralu celebrations.
    • Amandeep Singh Rait class IX E , member of Junior Boy’s Roller Hockey Team of Hyderabas 2009, secured Gold medal in Inter-district Roller Hockey Championship and Bronze medal in Inter-state championship.
    • UMS Nikhil class X D, UVR Nitin class VII A and Deeksha Bindra class VI C won scholarships of Rs. 2500/ each in HDFC Meritus Scholarship Test.
    • Jayashwin Dal VIII A,AN OUTSTANDING Karate champion has a list of excellent wins to his credit. In the ASIAN OPEN TO ALL championship, he had a haul of 9 medals and bagged the Overall Champion Trophy ( male).

    • Talent Search Roller Skating Competition: Udhav class 4 won gold medal, Adiba class 7E and D. Vignesh class 2B won bronze medals.
    • Shriram Group subjunior tennis tournament conducted at G.V.K. Tennis Academy, Mohana Kona class 8 E reached the finals in under 12 and under 14 girls category.
    • Unified Cyber Olympiad 2nd level: UVR Nitin class 7, Jayashwin Dal class 8 and Arun Kumar Patro class 9 were declared to be in the top 100 All India Rank.
    • Inter school Science Quiz competition at Bharatya Vidya Bhavan Public School, Jubilee Hills; Jay Ashwin of Class 8 and Arun Patro of Class 9 won third prize.

    In the CBSE National Chess Championship 2009-10 Held at Markazul Uloom English School Kondotty, Kerala,under 14 girls Meridian team was selected for the National championship. Our team won the sixth All India place & were third from the South Zone.
